Marc Kasky is a nonprofit and civic-development leader with extensive experience transforming historic public property into vibrant, mission-driven cultural and community assets. As the longtime executive director of Fort Mason Center in San Francisco, he helped guide its evolution within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area into a thriving public-serving destination—bringing together nonprofit tenants, arts and cultural programming, community engagement, and sustainable operations.

As UEN’s Campus Development Director, Kasky brings directly relevant expertise in adaptive reuse, public-private stewardship, nonprofit facilities development, stakeholder engagement, and long-range campus planning. His experience working at the intersection of public land, community benefit, cultural programming, and institutional sustainability positions him to help UEN advance a thoughtful, financially responsible, and mission-aligned vision for Fort Worden in partnership with Washington State Parks.

Marc Kasky brings hands-on experience in the adaptive reuse and revitalization of historic public property. As director of the Fort Mason Foundation, he helped lead the transformation of a former military installation within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area into a financially self-sustaining nonprofit cultural campus serving resident organizations, artists, educators, environmental groups, and the public. His work included a major capital campaign and a multi-project program to rehabilitate historic buildings and waterfront piers, create new theater, education, exhibition, media, and studio spaces, improve accessibility, and establish a sustainable operating model supported by mission-aligned tenants and public events.
