Fort Worden was build a long time ago, on the ancestral lands of the xxx. It stood guard to the entrance of the Puget Sound from enemy attackers, that never came. There was never a shot fired in anger. For the past 50 years Fort Worden has been the jewel in the crown of the Washington State Park system and it has now committed to creating it’s next 10 year plan for this historic State Park and Conference Center, dedicated to it’s mission of lifelong learning.

The Fort Worden campus is home to numerous community organizations and is an ideal location to host residency programs as well as a myriad of other special events. UEN will contribute to the growth and sustainability of Fort Worden over the next ten years, by providing a curated program of experts in many disciplines,, thus drawing thousands of people to the campus through conferences, concerts and festivals. These are activities where UEN has a proven track record of success.
